Businesses across Greater Lincolnshire are invited to join what is expected to be one of the strongest ever line-ups to take the region to MIPIM, the world’s largest property event held in Cannes annually, in 2019 (12-15 Mar).
Last year, the largest ever Lincolnshire delegation attended the event in order to attract developers and investors from across the world – and to promote the wealth of opportunities available throughout the region.
Driven by the Greater Lincolnshire LEP and Team Lincolnshire, the area has succeeded in establishing a recognisable presence in Cannes over the years.
The private-public sector line up of Team Lincolnshire has, for the past four years, helped to reinforce the area’s message and has introduced the region to parties from across the UK which are now investing in Lincolnshire and developing out key sites.
Greater Lincolnshire LEP director, Ruth Carver said that they were looking to build on the success of the previous year as well as MIPIM UK and invites private sector businesses to get involved with Team Lincolnshire to help promote the region on the world stage:
“Team Lincolnshire has gone from strength to strength; in 2018, we took the largest ever delegation to Cannes and we are hoping for another successful year at MIPIM. Lincolnshire has a real wealth of opportunity for both investors and developers and a strong public-private sector collaboration in Cannes is a fantastic way to showcase exactly what we have to offer.
“Our work at MIPIM over the last few years has seen real, tangible results and we are delighted to see developers and investors now involved in Greater Lincolnshire following our efforts in Cannes.
“MIPIM is a fantastic opportunity to put Lincolnshire on the map, not just in the UK but globally, and we are looking forward to another positive year. There is still time for sponsors to get involved and become part of the team and take advantage of all MIPIM has to offer.”
This year’s Team Lincolnshire sponsors currently include: Bond Bryan, BSP, Cartwright Communications, CPMG, Core Architects, Couch Perry Wilkes, Delta Simons, Dynamic Lincoln, Fraser Brown, Globe Consultants, Invest Gainsborough, Invest SK, Jackson & Jackson, Lindum, LK2, Longhurst Group, Pygott & Crone, RizkMcCay, Roythornes, Stirlin Developments Ltd and Willmott Dixon.
In 2019, Lincolnshire will be part of the Midlands Pavilion – a marquee which brings together regions from the East and West Midlands – at the property expo, which will not only promote the wider region as a thriving part of the UK economy, but will also put the spotlight on individual regions through its busy programme of business events during the week.
This is the third year that the Midlands has come together under one roof; in 2018, more than 3,000 visitors were able to find out more about what the region has to offer during MIPIM.
“Lincolnshire is going through a period of growth and investment; over the last few years this region has really begun to shine as an exceptionally attractive destination to live, work and invest – and we are excited about taking that message to Cannes this year.
“For our sponsors too, there are many opportunities – to work closely alongside the Midlands Engine and to meet developers and investors from across the world as part of Team Lincolnshire. We are certain that MIPIM 2019 will put Lincolnshire and its wealth of opportunities firmly on the international map.”
In 2019, Team Lincolnshire will be focusing on promoting a number of investment opportunities across the region, including: three Food Enterprise Zones, major infrastructure works as well as employment sites and significant housing schemes.
MIPIM takes place from 12 to 15 March centred round a large-scale exhibition in the Palais de Festival in Cannes in the south of France which attracts tens of thousands of visitors. Click here for more information about Greater Lincolnshire LEP.
